Wills, Trusts and Probate Litigation

Estate Planning – Wills, Trusts, Advanced Directive, and Financial POA’s

Although not a topic that many individuals wish to discuss until later in life, the reality is that most individuals, even at a young age, need an experienced attorney to help guide them through creating documents to plan for the future. Estate planning should take place throughout ones’ life, taking into account potential financial, marital, or medical changes that may alter your family’s current needs. Every estate plan should include a Last Will and Testament with potential Trusts, Financial Power of Attorney, and Advanced Directives, detailing your property distribution desires, financial concerns, or the extremely difficult medical decisions should they become necessary. Let our experience guide you in making these difficult decisions, through compassionate counsel. We have a true heart and concern for elderly clients, so should you or a loved one require a “house call” or meeting away from our office at a hospital or nursing home, we will meet you where you are and provide the counsel necessary to meet your needs.

Guardianship and Conservatorship

As parents and loved ones get older and face declining physical and mental health, it may become necessary for family or friends to get involved and request a Court to appoint a Guardian and/or Conservator. This allows an individual to be appointed as a Guardian over ones’ person and/or Conservator over ones’ financial affairs. Unfortunately, this can often become a contentious experience between family members and may become a litigious matter. Give our firm the opportunity to work with you and your family to provide wise counsel on how to proceed with this process. We provide professional guidance to make sure you and your loved one is provided with the care and protection they deserve.

Probate Litigation

Unfortunately, the trend in recent years seems to be utilizing litigation in dealing with Estate issues, especially when there are large families, businesses, multiple marriages, or a host of other issues. If it becomes necessary, we will zealously protect your interests, while maintaining our respect for the families and parties involved. As in every case we handle, we take an initial approach to seek an amicable resolution without the necessity of litigation and will only prevail upon the Court when such a resolution cannot be reached. We appreciate the trust that our clients show in us, and we treat every client as we ourselves would expect to be treated.
